SUMMARY:Iceland Tour
DESCRIPTION:There's a strong connection between Orkney and Iceland\, and we
 've been going to Iceland since 2011 to explore this connection. The Orkn
 eyinga Saga was even written in Iceland! Specialist birds that we hope t
 o see include Barrow's goldeneye\; harlequin duck\; red-necked and grey p
 halaropes\; Brunnich's guillemot\; white-tailed eagle\, merlin and gyr fal
 con. Added to this is the backdrop of the stunning volcanic and geo-therma
 l scenery of Iceland\, with geysers\, waterfalls and glaciers as standard.
  An optional whale-watching trip is possible as we seek close-ups of orc
 as and sperm whales. The itinerary will include 3 evenings at Grundarfjör
 ður in Snaefellsnes (NW Iceland)\; 3 evenings in Eyjafjörður in North
 ern Iceland\; a return trip back south through the spectacular interior\; 
 and a final evening in Hveragerði. Our Iceland trips are amongst the fin
 est that we do\, facilitated by an exceptional local guide in the form of
