Gerraquoy Farm

For many of our Peedie House guests staying on the farm is an important part of their holiday. The farm is a working one, albeit small at only 5.7 ha (15 acres). Although we are not self-sufficient we produce our own organic beef, eggs, salad and vegetables, and have access to locally reared pork and lamb, and we will be pleased to sell our organic beef and eggs to self-catering visitors at the Peedie House.

Agnes & Jill March 2008We used to keep a small herd of native Shetland cattle, which is one of the rarest breeds in the UK.

We’ve now planted nearly 4,000 native trees on the farm and created a wildflower meadow to improve our carbon footprint and increase biodiversity.
